Big Rush Luck

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Big Rush Luck is one of those pick-up-and-go arcade games that hides a surprising amount of depth. You guide a little runner through tightening corridors, tapping to dodge and holding to slide, and the pace ramps up until you are grinning and sweating in equal measure. We tested it across several evenings and kept saying "one more run."

The control scheme is the star. Everything happens with one thumb, and the game reads short taps and long holds cleanly, so misses feel like your fault rather than the input lag's. Levels are short, which makes it perfect for a bus ride, but a combo meter rewards you for chaining clean moves and nudges you to play a bit braver.

Visually it keeps things clean and readable, which matters when things get frantic. Battery use was modest during our sessions, and the phone stayed cool. If we had one gripe, the later stages lean hard on memorization, so a run can end to a hazard you simply didn't see coming yet.
