Five settings to change before you start playing
Most people skip straight into the tutorial and never revisit the options screen. That's a mistake, because a couple of quick tweaks can transform how a game feels.
First, turn down or off the screen shake and camera bob if they exist. They look dramatic but cause fatigue and motion discomfort in long sessions. Second, disable auto-download of large asset packs on cellular data.
Third, check the frame rate cap and match it to your phone's ability rather than maxing it blindly. Fourth, mute the pushy notifications that beg you to return every few hours. Fifth, look for a colorblind or high-contrast mode, since many games hide readability improvements in there.
None of these change the game itself, but together they make it far more comfortable to live with over weeks of play.
